Acceptable Use Policy

Last reviewed: 2026-07-08

Handraise is a trading name of AJBERRI PTY LIMITED (ABN 15 146 964 203). This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets out the rules for using the Handraise platform.

1. Prohibited data sources

You must not:

  • Import purchased or rented contact lists. You may only use Handraise to contact prospects identified through the platform's built-in data sources (Boosta) or lists you have compiled lawfully from public business information.
  • Upload scraped email addresses. You may not upload email addresses harvested from websites, search results, or any source where the email was not published in a business context with a reasonable expectation of being contacted.
  • Use data obtained from third-party data brokers. Any list sourced from a data broker is prohibited unless you can demonstrate a lawful basis for contacting each individual on the list.

2. Lawful basis per contact

Every prospect contacted through Handraise must have a recorded lawful basis for being contacted. This basis is recorded at the point of import or prospect matching and is auditable. You must ensure that:

  • Each contact has consented to being contacted, or
  • Each contact's information was legitimately obtained from a public business register or published business information, and
  • Contacting them for the purpose you intend is lawful under the Spam Act 2003.

3. Sender identification

You must not:

  • Misrepresent the sender of any message.
  • Use a misleading reply-to address.
  • Omit your business identity from messages sent through the platform.
  • Use a "from" name or address that could reasonably deceive a recipient.

4. Geographic targeting

By default, Handraise targets Australian businesses. Targeting prospects outside Australia requires explicit action, and you are solely responsible for complying with the laws of the destination country.

5. Unsubscribe compliance

Every message sent through Handraise includes a functional unsubscribe mechanism. You must:

  • Honour unsubscribe requests immediately.
  • Ensure unsubscribed contacts are not re-added to campaigns.
  • Not penalise or misrepresent the consequences of unsubscribing.

6. Volume and sending limits

Handraise enforces daily volume caps and automatic sending pauses based on bounce and complaint rates. You must not attempt to circumvent these controls.

7. Suspension and termination

Violation of this policy may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of your account.
  • Termination of your subscription without refund.
  • Referral to relevant authorities where required by law.

We will notify you of any suspected violation and give you an opportunity to respond before taking action, except where immediate suspension is necessary to prevent ongoing harm.

8. Customer indemnity

You agree to indemnify AJBERRI PTY LIMITED against any loss, damage, or expense arising from your violation of this Acceptable Use Policy.
