TOOL 03 - BUSINESS RESEARCH

Know the target, and why it matters to your business.

In release evaluation: enter a target website and Handraise builds a cited dossier, keeps your confirmed profile visible, and separates supported facts from inference and unknowns. It is not yet available for general use.

How it works, four steps

01

Your context stays visible

Handraise freezes your confirmed business profile when the run starts: your offer, ideal customers and the problems you solve.

02

The target is resolved

The website and Australian entity records are reconciled before target claims are accepted. Ambiguity is shown, not hidden.

03

Evidence arrives progressively

Supported facts, public signals, people and contradictions appear as they clear validation. Every visible status reflects real activity.

04

The two sides are compared

The final dossier explains fit, opportunities and risks by linking target evidence to criteria from your own profile.

A dossier you can inspect

Claim-level evidence

Material observations show the exact supporting span, source, retrieval date, authority and entity match where available.

Honest claim types

Observed, inferred, calculated, provider-returned and unknown statements remain visibly distinct. Contradictions are retained.

Grounded follow-up

Ask about the dossier or compare it with your profile inside a visible source scope. Fresh web research is a separate reviewed action.

Public signals are not buyer intent

Hiring, news, leadership changes, technology and public activity can help you understand a business. They do not prove that a company is in market or intends to buy. The dossier labels them as public signals and keeps the source beside the interpretation.

Credit cost

The price for one completed dossier is 1 credit (AU$1.00). Credits are held when research starts and captured only after the dossier passes its quality checks. A failed or cancelled run costs nothing.

Frequently asked questions

  • Where does the research come from?
The target website, Australian entity records where available, and other approved public sources. Every material observation links back to its evidence. Sources are recorded with retrieval dates and authority details.
  • Can I use the dossier before it finishes?
Yes. Supported findings appear as they clear validation. The workspace shows the real research operation in progress instead of an invented completion percentage.
  • How does it use my business profile?
The confirmed profile is frozen when the run starts. Fit and opportunities are linked to both a criterion from your profile and evidence about the target, so the comparison stays inspectable.
  • Does it give every claim a confidence score?
No single percentage hides the detail. The dossier separates observations, inferences and unknowns, then shows entity match, source authority, corroboration and freshness where relevant.
  • Does it find people and email addresses?
Yes, when an approved public source explicitly publishes them. Names, roles, email addresses, phone numbers and profile links stay attached to their evidence. Handraise does not infer contact details or scrape LinkedIn page content.
  • Does a public signal mean the company intends to buy?
No. Hiring, news, technology and leadership changes are labelled public signals. They are not described as buyer intent unless a first-party or licensed source establishes that separately.
